My Review on the Elephant MAn

The Elephant man is a movie about a man named John Merrick (Joseph Merrick). In the movie it exploits the life Merrick had and the difficulties he encountered due to his deformity. Merrick grew up as a freak show due to his master (bytes) who showed him around for money. In the movie a doctor curious with his deformity (DR Fredderick trieves) takes Merrick to the hospital in means to study him. At first the elephant man was only a project for him to do, however, Trieves eventually saw the human in the elephant man and sought to help him. During the movie the was biggest question was whether or not Trieves was like Bytes  exploiting the elephant man for attention. Eventually everyone admired the elephant man as a human not as an animal. However, the movie brought up a very good point. Who are the monsters in our society. The ones who look hideous on the outside or the ones who hide their true nature. This movie made me realize that the true monsters aren't the ones we assume to be evil but the ones who hide it. This movie made me feel sympathetic to those who face these difficulties and forces me to adire them for their courage.
